Project scope
The sponsored team is developing a full-stack financial intelligence platform intended to give early-stage entrepreneurs operational visibility into their financial position. The system combines three concentration areas.
- Applied AI
- Natural-language analysis of operating data for founders who do not have a dedicated finance function.
- Security architecture
- Encryption, access control, and an auditable transaction layer designed to professional standards.
- Financial literacy tooling
- Workflows that make accounting concepts approachable for non-finance founders.
The platform is being built against a real spec, with weekly cadence and a fixed Expo delivery date. The student team owns implementation; TEKIMAX participates as the industry partner, providing problem context, sitting in on the review cadence, and observing delivery practice.
Programme context
CS5351 is led by Dr. Klyne Smith, Dr.Eng., whose course design pairs each student team with an industry sponsor and holds them to professional engineering standards across the semester. The model is the same one used by industry-sponsored capstones at peer engineering schools, and is structured around scoping, weekly delivery cadence, and a public end-of-semester Expo.
Showcase
The student teams present their final projects to industry partners, faculty and peers at the CS5351 Senior Design Expo at the close of the semester. The TEKIMAX-sponsored team will present the financial intelligence platform at that event.
Partnership posture
TEKIMAX views university partnerships as a long-horizon investment: universities run the institutional preparation of engineers; industry partners contribute real problems and an early bridge from coursework into applied practice. The CS5351 engagement is the first of several university partnerships TEKIMAX intends to support. Programmes running senior design, capstone or applied-engineering coursework are encouraged to make contact.
